Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Accountant to join a leading manufacturing company. In this role, you'll manage general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, and manufacturing/WIP cost accounting. You'll also oversee AR/AP operations and play a key part in financial reporting, variance analysis, and maintaining compliance with GAAP.

About the Role
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Accountant to join a leading manufacturing company. In this role, you'll manage general ledger accounting, month-end close activities, and manufacturing/WIP cost accounting. You'll also oversee AR/AP operations and play a key part in financial reporting, variance analysis, and maintaining compliance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger functions, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations.
- Perform WIP and manufacturing cost accounting and inventory analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
- Support annual audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies.
- Supervise the AR/AP Coordinator and support financial process improvements.
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
- 3+ years of manufacturing or WIP cost accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
