This senior-level role is responsible for shaping and executing our PR strategy in alignment with global priorities, maximizing our impact and brand exposure, while protecting our reputation. You will serve as a trusted advisor to local leadership, guiding communications around key business decisions, reputation management and brand positioning.**Key Responsibilities:*****Strategic Leadership:**** Develop and lead the Americas PR strategy in alignment with regional and global initiatives.* Serve as a senior communications advisor to executives and business leaders.* Guide messaging and positioning for major announcements, executive visibility and strategic initiatives.***Media & Stakeholder Engagement:**** Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media and industry stakeholders.* Oversee media relations strategy, including proactive storytelling, executive interviews and crisis response.* Develop plan for earned speaking opportunities for key spokespeople to elevate visibility with key audiences.***Content & Messaging Oversight:**** Oversee the development of press releases and media-focused content.* Ensure consistency in messaging across markets and platforms.* Collaborate with global and regional communications and marketing colleagues to align narratives.***Monitoring, Insights & Risk Management:**** Monitor media, industry trends and public sentiment to inform strategy and identify emerging risks or opportunities.* Support the development of regular reporting and insights on PR performance and brand reputation.* Support issues management and crisis communications planning and execution.***Team & Agency Management:**** Manage and mentor team members and agency partners to maximize resources and position the team for future success.* Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture focused on impact and innovation.* Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for Americas PR initiatives.**Your background will include:*****Must-haves:**** 8+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field.* Deep understanding of the financial media landscape and ability to build and maintain reporter relationships.* Proven track record of leading strategic communications in complex, matrixed, or global organizations.* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.* Experience managing teams and agencies across and working across time zones.* Strong crisis communications and reputation management experience.***Nice-to-haves:**** Experience in media relations for financial services, preferably within private markets.* Experience working with C-suite executives and investor relations teams.* Familiarity with media monitoring, analytics, and reporting tools.**Travel Requirements:** Limited travel, occasionally to New York or for conferences or media engagements. **Benefits**At Hamilton Lane, our benefits philosophy is simple: to provide our employees with a competitive suite of benefits and services to help navigate through the complexities and challenges of working, living, raising a family, and eventually retiring.
