Shop Foreman

Yard ForemanThe Yard Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activity of workers to ensure that work is done safely, correctly, and timely. Possesses the ability to fill jobsite requisitions for tools and material. Responsible for Form Fab Facility outside limestone yard and mini storage building. Ensuring deadlines are met and necessary resources are obtained. Must have knowledge of basic hand and power tools to include building material, symon forms system for building work. Understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use to perform work related responsibilities. Will be required to operate forklifts and drive company own truck and can pull 20' utility trailers.ResponsibilitiesThe following are intended as general illustrations of responsibilities but not limited to:Basic email use knowledgeFill jobsite tool and material requisitionLoad and unload trucksTrack small tools and gas equipmentMaintain cleanliness outside limestone yard and mini storage areas assignedPerform check out sheets on tools and equipment for shipping to jobsitesClean MVRExceptional safety culture/habitsQualificationsPhysicalMust be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., but may occasionally push/pull, lift, or carry up to 100 lbs.Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legsHand/eye coordinationMust be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform workWill need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy workMay operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all typesClimb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basisPosition may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing /pulling, or standing and liftingMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)MentalMust have the ability to communicate effectively with management/supervisors and field workersReading and writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policyAbility to use math/complete calculationsWork at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractionsDecision making skills necessaryDetail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe detailsRequires strong leadership and motivational skillsWork ScheduleHours: 40 hour week (5 days a week)Monday – Thursday: 6 am - 3:30 pmFriday: 6 am - 10 am
