Senior Pricing Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to work within their facilities located in Houston, for a 12-month assignment with the possibility of extension.

SUMMARY

The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting pricing operations, pricing strategy execution, and ERP pricing governance across multiple business segments. This role will support ongoing S/4HANA transition activities while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, IT, Product Management, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and efficient pricing execution.


This position requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced ERP and Excel experience, pricing operations knowledge, and the ability to manage complex pricing requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of operating independently while supporting process improvements, pricing controls, reporting, and operational continuity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support daily pricing operations activities across multiple product lines, business segments, and regions.
• Manage and maintain customer pricing, rebates, contracts, and pricing records within SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
• Analyze pricing requests, quotations, bids, and profitability impacts while ensuring alignment with pricing policies and approval structures.
• Support ongoing S/4HANA transition activities, pricing validations, testing, data accuracy reviews, and process stabilization efforts.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Product Management, and IT teams to resolve pricing issues and support operational needs.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, reporting tools, and analytical dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Monitor pricing trends, margin performance, pricing exceptions, and operational risks.
• Assist with pricing governance, workflow approvals, escalation support, and compliance with internal controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies within pricing workflows.
• Prepare detailed reporting and presentations related to pricing analysis, profitability, operational metrics, and business performance.
• Support ERP master data integrity and pricing-related system maintenance activities.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, pricing operations, financial analysis, commercial operations, or related field.
• Strong experience working within SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, system transitions, or operational process improvements preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and business scenarios.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or commercial pricing environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence.
