The Human Resources Generalist supports and partners with employees and leaders across operations and field locations. This role plays a key part in driving employees' engagement, compliance, and workforce development in a large, diverse, and safety-focused organization. Performs Human Resources related duties at a professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruiting, employee relations, employment and training.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment, safety and workplace standards.
• Sources candidates, screens and recruits job applicants to fill entry level, professional and technical job openings.
• Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job related requirements.
• Facilitate new hire orientation for large groups, ensuring employees understand safety, company policies, and expectations.
• Deliver training programs and presentations to employees and managers, often in group settings across multiple locations.
• Performs benefit administration to include change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
• Conducts bilingual benefits orientation sessions.
• Supports a diverse, bilingual workforce, ensuring clear communication in both English and Spanish.
• HR metrics using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to support workforce planning and decision making.
• Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
• Responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
• Conducts exit interviews, and makes recommendations for retention, engagement and continuous improvement.
• Represents the company for unemployment claims and hearings.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred
• Minimum of 3 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
• Experience facilitating training and speaking to large groups
• Experience supporting multi-site operations

Work Environment / Physical Activity

• Work is performed in a combination of office, outside yard settings, outside field settings environments. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and listen to employees.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The work environment is that which is typical of an office setting.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
