Laser Helper
The Laser Helper will assist the operator in loading material and performing operations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on CNC machines.
Responsibilities
- Assist the operator in loading materials for CNC Trumpf Laser operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
- Understand and operate laser technology and sheet metal machinery.
- Utilize micrometers, calipers, multimeters, and encoders for precise measurements.
- Conduct machine setup for efficient operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CNC machines and laser operations.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, multimeters, and encoders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Training will be required for the first 2-3 weeks on the job.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Work Environment
Work in an open air machine shop equipped with fabrication, welding, and CNC machinery. Experience a somewhat clean environment where masks are not required.
2nd shift from 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. with flexibility in hours based on production needs. During slow periods, 4pm - 12 midnight is customary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
