Structural Technician III

Position Summary DPP is seeking a Structural Technician for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry. Location & Employment Details Work location: Onsite in Englewood, CO Duration: 11 months Terms: W2 contract Work authorization: Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. Responsibilities As a Structural Technician III, you will assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part‑fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming. Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures, measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate changes into the structure, monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Education & Equivalency High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience. A higher‑level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have/own tools in good working order. Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications. Ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch. Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques, and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable. Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi‑locks. Preferred Qualifications Ability to travel. Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, NASA or US Military. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required. Work Environment Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps; frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motions many times to include finger and hand dexterity; frequently require vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors; frequently require hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes; frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Working Conditions: Frequently exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.); occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials; frequently exposed to loud noises. Safety Sensitive Position: Responsible for the safety or security of people or property. Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles. Performs aviation related duties.
