Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education (SPED) License required
• Previous experience working with students with SLD (Specific Learning Disabilities) or OHI (Other Health Impairment; specifically ADHD) preferred
• Comfortable teaching 8th grade literacy, math, and social studies
• Ability to work resource/self-contained settings

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 10 students, including one student focused solely on math
• Develop and implement IEPs to ensure individual goals are met
• Teach core subjects (literacy, math, social studies), while students attend science in a separate classroom
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
