At 6:00 AM you power up a three‑machine cell of Haas lathes and mills. You dial in tools, verify offsets, and run first‑piece checks. While one turning center cuts on the sub‑spindle with live tooling, the VMC is surfacing a low‑volume component from a new mix. You move seamlessly between machines—loading material, validating dimensions with micrometers and calipers, and handing off stable jobs to operators—so you can jump in where you’re needed most. A quick fixture idea becomes reality as you design and fabricate it on the spot, keeping production practical, precise, and economical.

What you’ll own

• Set up and run a three‑machine cell of CNC lathes and/or a small cell of CNC mills, managing multiple machines at once in a low‑volume/high‑mix environment.
• Lead setups and daily operations on Haas multi‑axis lathes and mills; create your own setups and optimize tool paths and workholding.
• Design and build tools, soft jaws, and fixtures used to manufacture components and assemblies.
• Work from verbal instructions, drawings, and specifications; lay out work using knowledge of parts, engineering practices, and design.
• Apply independent judgment, strong technical acumen, and solid shop math to achieve quality and throughput goals.
• Ensure designs and setups enable parts to be produced practically and economically.
• Collaborate with fellow machinists: hand off machines to operators, assist with setups, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.

Skills that make you successful

• Proven setup and operation of Haas CNC lathes and mills (multi‑axis).
• Hands‑on experience with sub‑spindles, live tooling, and bar feeders.
• Full G‑code proficiency and confident use of measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Able to manipulate both small, delicate parts and larger, heavier stock.
• Team‑oriented with high attention to detail; able to work independently and/or take direction from a supervisor or lead.
• Strong basic shop math; demonstrated commitment to personal continuous improvement.

Physical and schedule

• Move moderate weight (50+ lbs.) daily; frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Stand or sit for 8+ hours; walk, bend, and stretch as typical for a trades role.
• First shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
