We are committed to contributing positively to the communities where we live, work and play.Job Description1st Shift Monday- Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMDuties and ResponsibilitiesKnows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working with and around hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical apparatusPosition is 60% mechanical work and 40% electrical workAbility to work on highly technical or involved projects, presenting new or constantly changing problemsAbility to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated and to make decision based on conclusions and findingsInstalls and repairs a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems or other transmission equipment. Working with blueprints, drawings, layouts, verbal instructions and/or other specsUses all types of welding equipment, arc, acetylene, brazing, and flame cutting equipment. Capable of laying out and fitting up welding, making jugs and fixturesUses electricians hand tools and measuring and testing equipmentDiagnoses and corrects trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipmentPerforms visual and mechanical inspections required to keep machinery in good condition to produce a finished quality product to order specificationsFollows preventive maintenance program as established by the company and performs inspections of equipment and takes preventive action when necessaryMaintains buildings, performing minor and major repairsNotifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipmentGives on the job direction to new maintenance mechanics and/or others assisting in maintenance workMaintains continuous improvement efforts in work areaQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing facilityDemonstrated commitment to electrical safety, strong troubleshooting skills, decision making skills, problem analysis and conflict management skills, particularly in pressure situationsPneumatic Systems ExperienceMechanical Systems ExperienceMedium Voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC) (750VDC)Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC and applicable OSHA standardsTransformers Maintenance and TestingThree Phase MotorsDC Motors and Motor ControlsServo Motors and ControlsHydraulics ExperiencePneumatics ExperienceProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC's)Human Machine Interfaces (HMI's)Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) (AC/DC)Communication Protocols (Ethernet, ControlNet, Device Net, etc.)Analog Circuits (0-10VDC, 4-20mA)Motor Control Centers (MCC's)Electrical Area ClassificationProficient in reading and understanding electrical diagrams and technical manualsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAdditional InformationSite Address: 660 S 91st Ave Tolleson, AZ 85353This is a position with the potential overtime.
