About Revive

Revive Treatment Centers provides evidence-based Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) / Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) for opioid use disorder — methadone and buprenorphine, counseling, and recovery support — across our Lake Zurich and Hoffman Estates locations.

We built Revive around a belief that treatment for opioid use disorder should look and feel like any other quality medical care: clean, modern facilities, respectful and caring staff, efficient scheduling, and clear communication with patients and families. Too many people picture something outdated and stigmatizing when they hear "methadone clinic." Changing that picture in our communities is a real part of this job.

The Role

This is a field-based outreach position with one central goal: help more people who need opioid use disorder treatment find their way to Revive.

You will spend most of your hours in the community — in hospitals, provider offices, social service agencies, and recovery organizations — building referral pathways that actually move people into care. You'll also be a visible representative of what modern medication-assisted treatment looks like, educating and correcting outdated assumptions among providers, families, and community partners. People don't seek treatment they don't understand, and providers don't refer to programs they misjudge. A significant part of this role is closing that gap: explaining what methadone and buprenorphine treatment actually involve, how effective they are, and what care at Revive looks like in practice.

This role is built on relationships — with hospital case managers, providers, community partners, patients, and families. What matters most is where those relationships lead. We measure success by the number of people who found their way into treatment because of your work.

Where Patients Come From

You'll develop and maintain referral channels across:

• Hospitals and detox programs — emergency departments, case managers, behavioral health units, withdrawal management, crisis programs, and discharge planners
• Healthcare professionals — primary care, psychiatry, therapists and counselors, FQHCs, residential programs, and addiction treatment providers
• Community and social services — shelters, harm-reduction organizations, recovery community organizations, and social service agencies
• Criminal justice and re-entry — probation, re-entry programs, and drug court partners
• Families — parents, spouses, and siblings seeking help for a loved one, who need someone patient and non-judgmental on the other end of the phone
• Transfers and reconnections — individuals receiving treatment elsewhere who are interested in transferring, former patients appropriate for permitted re-engagement, and people who once inquired but never completed intake

Reducing Stigma Is Part of the Work

A meaningful share of missed referrals in this field come down to stigma, not availability. Providers who assume medication treatment is "trading one drug for another." Families who don't know methadone and buprenorphine are the most evidence-supported treatments available for opioid use disorder. Patients who expect to be judged the moment they walk in.

In this role you will:

• Educate referral partners accurately on how methadone and buprenorphine treatment works, within the scope of the position
• Speak about opioid use disorder and medication treatment in language that is clinical, respectful, and free of stigma — and model that standard for partners
• Represent Revive's facilities, care model, and patient experience in a way that reflects the quality of the programs
• Bring referral partners' questions and misconceptions back to our clinical and operations teams so we can address them systematically

What You'll Do

• Work primarily in the field across the Lake Zurich and Hoffman Estates territories
• Identify and open new referral relationships, including cold approaches to organizations with no prior Revive connection
• Follow up consistently — with new partners, with sources that have gone quiet, and with prospective patients and families
• Communicate Revive's services, insurance, and payment options accurately
• Connect interested individuals and families directly with our intake team, promptly
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, referral sources, inquiries, and outcomes in our tracking system
• Work closely with intake, operations, and clinical leadership to identify and remove barriers keeping people from starting treatment
• Analyze which channels are producing results and redirect your time accordingly

How Success Is Measured

• Qualified new patient inquiries generated
• Assessments generated from your outreach
• Productive referral sources — new sources producing a first referral, and sources referring repeatedly
• Referral-to-assessment conversion
• Reconnections: transfer inquiries, permitted former-patient re-engagement, and reactivated prior inquiries
• Quality and completeness of outreach tracking

Admissions and census trends are monitored to evaluate outreach effectiveness. All clinical admission decisions remain with appropriate clinical personnel.

Who We're Looking For

Someone outgoing, persistent, organized, and genuinely comfortable working independently in the field — who is motivated by measurable results and can talk about opioid use disorder and medication treatment without a trace of stigma.

Helpful backgrounds include substance use disorder or behavioral health treatment, opioid treatment programs, addiction treatment admissions, healthcare or hospital liaison work, home health or hospice outreach, community health, Medicaid outreach, patient navigation, social services, recovery services, or healthcare field sales. Prior OTP experience is helpful but not required.

Preferred qualifications

• Healthcare, behavioral health, SUD, community outreach, admissions, liaison, or field sales experience
• Comfort approaching new organizations without an introduction
• Strong follow-up habits and independent territory management
• Experience using a CRM or activity-tracking system
• Ability to assess which outreach activities are working and adjust
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Schedule

$31-$34 per hour based on relevant experience, approximately 20–30 hours per week to start. Mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel. The role may expand to full-time based on performance. Compensation is not paid on a per-patient or per-referral basis.
