About the Position

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling; 3 weekend shifts per contract required; 2 call shifts every 6 weeks; holiday coverage as scheduled

Highlights:

• Work in a busy, team-based Labor and Delivery unit with 16 beds and average daily census of 15
• Comprehensive case mix including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, triage, and D&C procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 ensuring quality care and manageable workload
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• 24 hours of orientation with specialty-specific modules to support your success
• Scrubs provided by the facility

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with neonatal and adult patient populations
• Proficiency in labor support, vaginal delivery assistance, circulating for cesarean sections, fetal monitoring (external and internal), high-risk deliveries, and postpartum care
• Must be willing to perform vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring
• Willingness to float within facility scope of practice as needed
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date

Time Off and Scheduling:

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO permitted during orientation week or Spring Break blackout dates (April 4-12)
• Holiday work requirements apply based on number of major holidays during assignment period
