We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, safety, and career and personal development. QLM is looking for a skilled craftsman for a rapidly growing company in Savannah, GA. The position is a 90-day contract-to-hire. We are looking for reliable and professional individuals who want to grow and lead within a company. Pay rate is $24-$25 per hour; work is Monday through Friday unless specified otherwise. Historic restoration is a requirement! Proven experience as a craftsman with three (3) or more years.
Proven experience in historic restoration with one (1) year or more.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to blueprints and specifications for trim and rough carpentry.
Install and replace finish trim.
Install and/or repair window sashes.
Work confidently with mortise and tenon repairs.
Patch and blend drywall to match existing drywall.
Work with painting to include prepping the site for paint and produce clean finish lines.
Be able to repair rotten wood with epoxy systems and handle delicate material with care.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
Utilize hand and power tools to complete tasks.
Ensure all work meets high standards of craftsmanship and quality.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
