Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to support a fast-paced outpatient clinic handling more than 200 patients daily. The ideal candidate will have recent outpatient clinic experience, knowledge of medical insurance and referral processes, and the ability to manage high call volumes while providing excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients in person and by phone.
• Greet patients, address concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Perform patient check-in and check-out, including collecting copayments, issuing receipts, and reconciling payments.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic.
• Schedule appointments and complete patient registration.
• Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance plans.
• Handle patient and provider correspondence.
• Explain clinic policies, procedures, and services to patients.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace in accordance with departmental guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic.
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
• Experience working in a high-call-volume environment or call center.
• Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume patient care environment.
• Must meet the mandatory flu vaccination requirement; declinations and exemptions are not accepted.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience using Epic/CS-Link electronic health record systems.
