Registered Nurse – Radiation Oncology, travel temporary assignment, Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care for individuals receiving radiation therapy, including assessment, monitoring, and timely interventions for treatment-related needs
• Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring alignment with disease process, treatment course, and follow-up requirements
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families to support coping, treatment adherence, and informed decision-making
• Coordinate referrals to ancillary resources (nutrition, rehabilitation, home care, hospice) and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
• Serve as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, services, and external practices to facilitate seamless continuity of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, while adhering to evidence-based oncology practices and safety protocols

Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience (not Oncology RN experience)
• Education: RN from an accredited program; Colorado licensure in good standing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient care environment and coordinate oncology patient care with a multidisciplinary team
