Junior Transactional Attorney

Role Overview

Help improve advanced AI systems for real-world legal work by applying early-career transactional experience to contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining. This part-time opportunity focuses on training and evaluating AI tools to better identify risk, interpret contract language, and produce precise legal analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete simulated contract negotiation and redlining exercises.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to contract scenarios, providing feedback that improves output quality and precision.
• Apply objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria consistently to contract-related AI tasks.
• Work with product and research teams to refine training data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of transactional legal experience, either in-house or at a law firm.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, or redlining agreements, including MSAs and NDAs.
• Familiarity with contract negotiation and drafting. Experience with LPAs and ISDAs is relevant.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Interest in the intersection of law and technology and the ability to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
• Corporate law firm experience or an internship, ideally involving M&A or fund formation work.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time contract engagement.

Compensation

• $70 to $90 per hour.
