This role specifically will lead strategic programs that will transform and optimize the enterprise. You will be responsible for program strategy, development, and execution of enterprise-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program and project management with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs on time and within budget. This person has high emotional intelligence, strong critical-thinking, strength working cross-functionally, and an ability to influence and lead others to achieve program success.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure that initiatives have clear outcomes, scope, success criteria, and alignment with overall business objectives.Design, build and maintain an overall program execution plan and roadmap to support and implement activities related to people, process, and technology that span across multiple business functions.Identify workstreams and monitor the execution of the program per scope, schedule, resourcing, and budgetEstablish team structure for each workstream, providing direction to project leads and coordinators on various workstreams to manage scope, timelines, deliverables, and risks to the overall programCreate and monitor measures of success / KPIs for the programPartner with Change Management to identify a change management strategy and plan to ensure business readiness, engagement, and adoptionEstablish governance structure, handling any issues and proactively mitigating risksFacilitate effective communication and collaboration across various business units and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.Serve as an escalation point on risks, issues, and decisions, course-correcting as neededProvide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership on program status, milestones, and key performance metrics.Establish program rhythm of business – including communications, status reports, and readouts to stakeholders and leadershipDesign and deliver executive-level presentations as neededBring an outstanding blend of business and technical acumenEnsure the use of program management best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance project execution efficiency and effectiveness.Perform other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated knowledge of program and project management methodologies – waterfall, agile, kanban, etc.Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program development, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.Proficiency in program management software and tools to facilitate efficient program planning, tracking, and reporting.Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to develop effective partnerships across the company to engage, align, and gain stakeholder buy-in.Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.Ability to communicate effectively across written, verbal, and presentation formats to all levels of the organization from team members to executivesAbility to give executive summaries to any level of leadership is keyStrong organization and time management skills to keep programs on trackAbility to manage effectively in fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing prioritiesStrong business acumen and understanding of enterprise-level processes and the interplay between functions, particularly Product Management and Engineering, Customer Support, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Technology Services, Finance and Accounting.Ability to think strategically and act tactically as needed and be willing to roll your sleeves up.Has a learning mindset, keeps up on industry trends, research, and best practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMBA or equivalent desiredPMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable8+ years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex, high-impact projects at technology-based companies or within technical domainsExperience managing complex cybersecurity programs across cross-functional engineering and product organizations is strongly preferredF5 Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and strongly supports diversity in the workplace.The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job.
