The Western Account Manager works with the Regional Vice President to develop the profitable sales volume of your book of business. You will promote a positive and ethical image to all customers and contacts. You will assist the Sales Staff to develop current and new inmate phone business customers. You will work remotely. You will report to the Regional Vice President of Sales. Required: At least 50% travel over the territories of California, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Oregon. Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities Have full working knowledge of inmate phone business technologies, products, and services. Promote the inmate phone business in the region through the sales staff and ensure full compliance with the sales, marketing, and CRM requirements. Develop regional marketing plan which complements National Marketing Program. Implement training program and provide ongoing instruction to the sales staff in the marketing, business development, technologies, services, and operations of inmate phone business. Direct, guide and maintain prescribed account base. Provide and ensure the accuracy of all analysis and worksheets required for approval of customer proposals. Perform and complete Keefe Group presentations, proposals, contracts, and trade shows. Work with project management to develop and ensure installation and training plans that are both compliant and satisfactory with the facility. Travel to make personal sales calls to accounts in territory. Follow-up with customers to ensure technologies, services, and support are being provided with complete satisfaction. Manage assigned on‑site operations and employees. Identify market trends to include bidding patterns, software and service enhancements, fair market pricing and product/service offerings. Determine and recommend new technologies, products, and services which satisfy customer’s needs and lead the industry. Perform ongoing analysis of accounts to ensure approved profitability levels, and determine enhancements which increase the profitability, service, and offerings. Assist Regional/Group Vice President in determining the inmate phone business forecast. Achieve personal and regional goals set by Group Vice President on sales and profit that follow the inmate phone business forecast. Produce required regional and national reports. Maintain full compliance with Keefe Group Best Business Practices Guide. Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by Group/Regional Vice President. Other responsibilities as determined by our needs. What You'll Need High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a correctional market helps. Interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Establish communication and engagement with prospects, including the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Respond to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Research and produce leads, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, interpret technical instructions (including mathematical or diagram‑based information), and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide teams. Strong customer service orientation with excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Working knowledge with computer systems, including Microsoft Office programs. Understand market conditions, apply sales concepts, and interpret profit margins and forecasts.
