Human Resources Assistant
Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking an outgoing and organized professional to become a part of our Human Resources team to provide a variety of clerical and administrative support to assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources department. As the Human Resources Assistant working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values. This opening is for a full-time, day shift position working Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Who We Are: As the largest nonprofit, single-site retirement community in Pennsylvania, Cross Keys Village is dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults. Job Description:
- Organizing the new hire process, which may include: scheduling and/or administering pre-hire screenings, preparing, completing, tracking and following up on paperwork and communicating orientation expectations.
- Assisting with new team member orientation with regard to communicating benefits and policies to new team members to foster positive attitudes toward organizational objectives.
- Organizing and filing documents into team member’s files. Examining files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
- Coordinating the status change process, including but not limited to benefit life changes, badges, finalizing documents and employee files.
- Assisting the Benefits/Risk Manager in benefits and Pension Plan administration in accordance with plan design and third-party record keeping.
- Answering questions regarding benefits, eligibility and other pertinent information.
- Answering questions and explaining policies, procedures and benefits to team member and/or job applicants.
- Assisting with and/or administering special projects; helping develop, implement and maintain goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned projects and service areas.
- Assisting with recognition program and special events, including team member generated activities such as recognition/retiree program and holiday celebrations.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work related experience is preferred.
- Must have working knowledge and familiarity with Human Resources practice.
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and utilize time efficiently.
- Must have strong computer, communication and possess strong interpersonal skills.
