Title: Superintendent - Healthcare Construction
Location: Broward (Hollywood), FL

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial healthcare construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of construction superintendent experience, with a strong background in healthcare renovations and/or ground-up construction.

This position is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards, and serving as the primary field leader throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates must have prior experience working directly for a General Contractor (GC). Owner's Representative experience alone will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise daily field operations for healthcare construction projects.

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule.

• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents to identify potential issues.

• Monitor project progress, quality, and workmanship throughout construction.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.

• Conduct regular site meetings and communicate project updates to the project team.

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional jobsite.

• Identify and resolve field conflicts, scheduling issues, and construction challenges.

• Track materials, deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor activities.

• Assist with project scheduling and ensure milestones are achieved.

• Perform quality-control inspections and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.

• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.

• Help ensure successful project completion, closeout, and turnover.

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role.

• Previous experience with healthcare construction/renovation projects strongly preferred.

• Experience with ground-up construction and/or renovation projects.

• Experience managing projects with $100K+ construction value.

• Must have prior experience working for a General Contractor (GC).

• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scheduling, and field coordination.

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades effectively.

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of field operations.

• Bilingual skills are preferred, particularly English/Spanish.

• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
