Registered Dietitian (RD)- Contract Consultant

Position Overview DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. The consultant will be responsible for quarterly onsite visits (6 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and any nutrition referrals for high‑risk residents. Day in the Life As a Long‑Term Care consulting Registered Dietitian, you improve the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. You work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of residents, provide nutrition education, collaborate on an MDS, and develop nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager. You provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You train and mentor dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems. Experience in Long Term Care is preferred but not required. You should be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, possess solid interpersonal and communication skills, represent our company professionally, and enjoy coaching and mentoring others.
