Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Phoenix, Arizona

Position Summary:

As an SLP, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to help residents regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

·         Provide direct therapy services in accordance with the plan of care.

·         Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care.

·         Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.

·         Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.

·         Participate in care planning meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement activities as needed.

·         Provide training and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (if applicable).

Qualifications:

·         Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

·         Current Arizona licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain).

·         Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred;

·         Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

·         Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with geriatric populations preferred.
