Equipment Maintenance SpecialistEnsure that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently, including preventative maintenance, overhauls, modification, fabrication, welding, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment in compliance with all safety proceduresSupport the installation of new equipment, support and implementation of preventive maintenance programAssist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtimeEnsure all repairs are documentedDedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arriveFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsExhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgmentAdhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformityAttend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)Work schedule includes on call and weekend shiftsAn Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/VeteransEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)4 years of process manufacturing environment maintenance work experienceCertification and/or License – 2 year formal mechanical education certificate preferredBi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
