Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.ResponsibilitiesSpecializes in designing and improving mechanical systems, components, and products. Leads projects and teams, and often works on complex, high-impact projects. Acts as a resource for new or lower level engineers.Essential FunctionsDevelops conceptual and detailed designs of mechanical parts and assemblies based on project requirements.Prepares technical drawings in compliance with industry standards.Provides supporting safety and engineering analyses as required.Prepares materials for engineering design reviews.The individual will support the Target Fabrication Group in engineering tasks that are specific to the manufacture of targets for the OMEGA Laser Facilities.
