You methodically diagnose—not guess—pinpoint the root cause, explain findings in plain language, secure approval, make a clean repair, and move on to a preventive maintenance visit across town. No hand-holding, no upsell scripts—just skilled, ethical service. That’s the cadence here.

We’re hiring a seasoned Residential HVAC Diagnostics Specialist who can independently service residential and light-commercial systems. We want a technician first—someone who can also communicate options and help customers make smart decisions.

• Technical Service: Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults and resolve the underlying issue—not just swap parts.
• Repairs: Complete fixes with craftsmanship and efficiency, documenting work thoroughly.
• Maintenance: Perform comprehensive tune-ups and inspections to prevent callbacks and extend equipment life.
• Customer Communication: Translate complex HVAC issues into clear explanations; discuss repair options, pricing, and timing.
• Consultative Recommendations: Present appropriate repair or replacement paths and identify legitimate additional service opportunities.

• Residential and light-commercial service expertise with a strong diagnostic mindset
• Hands-on with air conditioners , gas furnaces , heat pumps , and mini-split/ductless systems
• Comfortable servicing boilers and oil-fired equipment
• Proficient with thermostats, controls, and electrical troubleshooting
• Skilled in refrigeration diagnostics, airflow assessment, and ductwork-related problems

• Certifications: Valid EPA Certification
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• License: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Physical: Capable of climbing ladders; working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas; lifting at least 50 lbs
• Tools: Proficient with standard HVAC diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Soft Skills: Independent problem solver with excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Several years focused on true service and diagnostics (not primarily installation)
• Deep, hands-on experience with boilers and oil systems
