Sales Representative - On Premise

Job Summary As a Sales Representative, you will cultivate and grow account relationships located in Virginia Beach to maximize the sales of supplier brands through effective planning, selling execution, and communication. Your goal is to achieve company and supplier objectives while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Call on accounts and cover daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing pattern. Analyze the entire account base by visiting each account to identify opportunities; complete all necessary surveys and ensure national account compliance where applicable. Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers, balancing the company’s priorities with customers’ needs, including new products, well and back bar placements, resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions. Maintain product levels in accounts by taking inventory and restocking shelves (where legally permissible). Educate account staff on priority brands by administering educational staff training seminars. Manage customer account receivables by processing credits and returns in a timely manner, and communicating with accounts on aged receivables. Service accounts by delivering products to customers in extenuating circumstances, handling customer issues and complaints, and referring these issues to management as appropriate. Achieve sales and merchandising objectives by strategizing/preplanning how best to meet goals, understanding company pricing, product programming information, and maintaining accurate historical account purchase data. Understand and work with management on inventory levels, alerting them to potential fluctuations in demand. Attain performance standards by meeting distribution, volume, and activity goals of supplier brands as set by management. Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account standards and using effective point‑of‑sale materials when appropriate. Obtain payments for the company by collecting and delivering checks or other remittance from accounts where legally permissible. Support account openings by developing opening orders for new accounts in collaboration with the Field Sales Manager. Participate in effective supplier work, including sales calls and sales blitzes. Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public while responsibly handling beverage alcohol product. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales. Basic PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs, including presentation software. Results‑oriented professional with verbal and written communication skills, diplomacy, discretion, and customer service skills. Ability to multi‑task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Analytic and reporting skills. Utilize sound judgement and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume team environment. At least 21 years of age. Valid Driver’s License. Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. Physical Requirements Remain in a stationary position at times while communicating and operating a computer and telephone. Regularly reach overhead, squat, and bend. Carry and lift 45–65 pounds. Compensation & Benefits Salary / Rate Range: $50,000.00 (Base salary + Commission) + $3,800.00 annual car allowance. The position is eligible for a bonus program, health care benefits, life insurance, time‑off benefits, and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
