You will be working on mostly new development using Docker containers, Kubernetes, Helm charts and AWS services. You will also be required to perform maintenance and sustainment engineering for existing baselines which may require programming in C++/C. Our small agile Scrum team is highly energized and has a significant software effort on a growing program with a large program impact. This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Software Engineer or the Senior Principal Software Engineer level.Basic Qualifications:For a Principal Engineer Software: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other STEM related degree with 5 + years of software development experience; 3 years with a Master's; 1 Year with PhD.For a Senior Principal Engineer Software: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other STEM related degree with 8 + years of software development experience; 6 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD.Demonstrated experience with/expertise in the following:Agile software development using Java, Python and/or C++ software development in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environmentContinuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) toolsDockerization and Container Management (Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm)Systems Development in a Cloud environment (e.g., AWS environment and tools)Strong mathematics backgroundKnowledge of object oriented design and software lifecyclesExperience with version control softwareCandidate must be eligible for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance to be consideredCandidate must be able to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)Clearance not required to startPreferred Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance (Employment will be contingent on obtaining and maintaining this clearance)Mission Management Algorithms experienceExperience working with the Proliferated Mission Management (PMM) frameworkPrimary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
