Coordinator, O.R. Scheduling

Position Summary
Responsible for scheduling Shore Medical Center patients for surgery including modifications, rescheduling, and cancellations. Coordinates operating rooms, surgeons, surgical assistants, and all Anesthesia resources for the operating room and other modalities. Responsible for pre-registering all surgeries and pre-admission testing procedures. Maintains electronic file system of all scheduling documents.


Core Responsibilities
• Scheduling of Same Day Surgical OR cases, Inpatient Surgical, including OB C-sections & inductions.
• Scheduling of PAT (pre-admission testing)
• Inputs patients demographic information
• Communication with Surgical office staff and Physician's.
• Close connection with OR management teams, Nursing staff and Insurance Verification team.

Minimum Requirements
• Ability to walk/stand for extended period of times
• Ability to lift, push, pull
• Intermediate Computer/Keyboard/Word Processing Skills
• Strong Interpersonal/Communication/Organizational Skills
• Detail Oriented/Must be able to work independently
• ICD Coding Experience
• 2 Years Office/Secretarial Experience in Medical Setting
• CPT Experience

Preferred Requirements
• Outpatient and Surgical Scheduling Experience
• Spreadsheet Application Experience
• AS 400 Experience
• Procedural Scheduling Experience
• Knowledge of Anatomy
• Medical Terminology

Salary Range: $18.76 to $26.54 hourly
