Step onto our Arab, AL production floor and own a machining cell from first setup to final inspection. As a CNC Machining Cell Specialist II, you’ll translate blueprints into reality, keep machines running at peak performance, and raise the bar for quality and throughput—while mentoring teammates along the way.

You arrive, review the day’s print package, and verify materials and tooling. You load programs, dial in work offsets, touch off tools, and run a first-article—micrometer in hand—to confirm critical dimensions. You monitor cycle performance, tweak tool wear, and adjust feeds and speeds to hold tolerance. Mid-shift, you coach a fellow operator on efficient changeover techniques. You schedule preventative maintenance, clear chips, check coolant, and replace worn inserts. Before close, you complete gauge checks, document inspections, and hand off a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Independently set up and operate CNC equipment to meet print specifications and quality targets.
• Interpret technical drawings/blueprints to define machining strategy and sequence.
• Continuously monitor operations and make in-process adjustments to maintain tolerance and finish.
• Guide and train other CNC operators to elevate cell capability and consistency.
• Execute routine preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime and accuracy.
• Perform dimensional verification using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and advanced metrology tools.
• Partner with peers to refine setups, reduce cycle times, and improve overall productivity.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment aligned with company policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining trade school or technical certification is a plus.
• 5+ years operating CNC machines in a production environment.
• Fluency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T, machining sequences, and tooling.
• Solid grasp of CNC programming concepts and machining processes.
• Hands-on skill with precision measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Uncompromising attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Resourceful problem-solver who thrives both independently and in a team setting.
