Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry prepares students for a career in Dentistry and is seeking a Dental Receptionist to work at the front desk at the UofL Graduate Practice located at 501 S. Preston Street, Louisville, KY 40202. The Graduate Practice Clinics is where residents provide dental care directly to patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet, direct and interview patients.

• Enter demographic data in the computerized patient information system.

• Answer telephone calls and handle inquiries.

• Schedule patient appointments.

• Compile patient charts.

• Serve as cashier; accept payments from patients; enter financial data into computer; issue receipts; balance cash drawer at end of day; set up payment contracts; work with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations; track payments and troubleshoot issues.

• Additional HIPAA / privacy training upon hiring; Infection Control training.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$23.66

Target Compensation Minimum:

$15.76

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
