Metron is actively seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to develop and manage our business analytics tool set built on Power BI. This role will integrate essential enterprise systems including accounting, forecasting, business development pipeline and Human Resources to deliver clear reporting, actionable insights, manage risk, and accelerate decision making across the company. This high-visibility position reports to Metron’s Chief Operating Officer and based primarily at the Metron headquarters located at the heart of the Reston Town Center in Reston, VA. This role will build on our current enterprise management ecosystem and offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth. Key Business Intelligence Analyst responsibilities include:Business Intelligence and ReportingDevelop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI, Excel, and AI-based analytics toolsTransform complex data into clear reports, interactive dashboards, visualizations, and actionable insights to help business leaders make informed decisionsAnalyze trends, identify performance drivers, and support data-informed decision-making across the organizationCurate the report catalog, retire legacy reports, and document reporting processes to improve consistency and usabilityBusiness Process SupportIdentify inefficiencies in reporting and business workflows and recommend practical, data-driven improvementsGather and document business requirements from stakeholders across finance, HR, operations, and business developmentPartner with business and technical teams to design, implement, and roll out data-driven process improvementsData IntegrationSupport the integration of data from enterprise systems using APIs, databases, and other data-access methodsBuild and maintain data models, reporting datasets, and analytics frameworks that enable accurate and scalable reportingContribute to the design and evolution of enterprise data storage, reporting structures, and business intelligence capabilitiesCollaboration and GrowthPartner with program managers, directors, and executive leadership to define KPI reporting and evolving business needsDocument reporting logic, data definitions, and business requirements to improve maintainability and shared understanding.Share knowledge and help end users understand available tools, reports, and data resources.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field3+ years’ experience in business intelligence, analytics, business operations or similar role2+ years minimum experience developing analytic reports using Power BI, IBM COGNOS or similar BI platformExperience analyzing financial, operational, or business performance data and presenting results clearlyWorking knowledge of data structures, relational databases, Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and principles of enterprise systems integrationDemonstrated ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into reporting solutions, and support implementationStrong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build relationships with teams across executive, operations management, and technical teamsUS citizenship required with ability to obtain a US Government SECRET clearanceDesired QualificationsExperience in the national security environment or government contracting industryMaster’s degree in Business (MBA), Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related fieldAdvanced-level experience with Power BI data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and/or SQLExperience with one or more scripting or programming languages such as PythonExperience with software development workflows and supporting tools such as Azure DevOpsExperience supporting executive-level reporting and enterprise Key Performance Indicator (KPI) developmentCurrent US Government SECRET clearancePosition Location: Reston, VAMetron is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
