Part-time Direct Support Professional

Job Description Bello Machre is seeking Part‑Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Residential Services in Carroll County. Direct Support Professionals are essential staff who provide loving care for adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community. They give direct support and teach independent living skills, plan community‑based activities, and implement individual program plans. Shifts are evening and weekend part‑time positions based on the needs of those they support. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old A high school diploma or GED is required Must have a current driver’s license with no more than 5 points Must have a genuine interest in the well‑being of adults with developmental disabilities Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor, peers, individuals, and families Must display a positive attitude when interacting with others Must be able to teach skills, provide support, and build on each individual’s strengths and capabilities Responsibilities Provide outstanding support and services for people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to participate fully as they wish in all aspects of community life Assist individuals in the development of friendships and other relationships Help individuals become active participants in their community and build natural support networks Be knowledgeable of each person’s person‑centered plan and provide support according to that plan Interact with each person in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment, fully respecting fundamental rights Vaccination Bello Machre takes the health and safety of our employees, the people we support, and the greater community very seriously.
