Setting: Critical Access Hospital; travel assignment

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
- Collect, analyze, and document relevant data to determine diagnoses and care issues; develop and implement a care plan; monitor and adjust as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines to promote safety and healing.
- Administer medications and therapies, respond to clinical changes, and manage emergencies using appropriate protocols.
- Participate in discharge planning, provide education to patients and families, and promote continuity of care and safe transitions.
- Document all care in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure compliance with policy, privacy, and safety standards.

Requirements
- Current California RN license (state of practice) required
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS or ARC-ALS and PALS or ARC-PALS required
- BSN preferred; not required if experience supports clinical practice needs
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work the listed shift in a hospital-based ER environment

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active professional nursing license for the state of practice in the assignment location
- Current certifications as listed above (BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalents)
