Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 8-hour shifts available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with varying hours in this time frame.

Job Description

The Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse will provide specialized intravenous therapy to patients at the Outpatient Infusion Center. Responsibilities include administering various infusions, maintaining venous access devices, and providing education to patients regarding their treatments.

Responsibilities

• Administer intravenous (IV) medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor patients during infusion therapy and respond to any adverse reactions.
• Assist with the placement of central venous access devices, including PICC lines.
• Educate patients on self-administration of medications and infusion care.
• Document patient care and treatment outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Chemotherapy Certification (ONS) required.
• Experience with peripheral IV insertion and venous access devices.
• IV certification is highly preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
