The Tufting Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining tufting machines to produce specialty textiles. This role involves setting up machines, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to safety and operational protocols in a medium-sized team environment. The position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet production demands.

2nd Shift

7pm-7am

18.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Set up tufting machines for production runs
• Thread yarn and prepare machines for operation
• Operate machines efficiently to produce specialty textiles
• Inspect products for quality and consistency
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine function
• Handle finished products carefully to prevent damage
• Follow safety procedures and comply with safety regulations
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
• Maintain accurate production and machine records
• Will train on 1st shift for 2-3 weeks

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in machine operation
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with equipment operation and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of quality control practices
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail
• Understanding of safety procedures
• Effective time management skills
