About Us Allegro Charter School of Music is a public charter school sponsored by the Charleston County School District, located in North Charleston. We will serve students in grades 6–12 beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. About the Role Allegro Charter School of Music is seeking an Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. What You'll Be Doing Establishing expectations Building relationships Solving problems Remaining flexible Maintaining professionalism Communicating effectively Working as part of a team Staying organized Ensuring adherence to curriculum standards Duties as assigned by Principal Qualifications Music or secondary teaching experience preferred Valid SC Administration Certificate (or ability to obtain one before employment) and highly qualified in a subject area Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening Strong technology skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Genuine appreciation of music Experience evaluating staff Experience handling student disciplinary matters Physical Requirements The physical requirements described below represent those an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, and crouch. Duties may also involve managing students' behavioral needs.
