Account Manager - Infectious Disease Diagnostics - S. Louisiana

Abbott seeks an Account Manager for Infectious Disease Diagnostics in South Louisiana to manage key accounts and drive revenue growth across hospital networks, laboratories, and point-of-care settings. The role combines consultative selling, account strategy, and technical expertise to expand market share for rapid diagnostics platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key accounts through business reviews and proactive solution delivery
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow customer base, increase profitability, and achieve annual targets
  • Manage sales processes using SFDC, Power BI, and analytics to forecast revenue and sustain long-term growth
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development to maximize account value
  • Train and manage third-party distributor relationships while ensuring regulatory and company policy compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 4 years medical sales experience, preferably diagnostics
  • Experience managing distribution partner relationships
  • Willingness to travel 4 days per week, up to 35% overnight
  • Deep knowledge of laboratory and point-of-care clinical settings
  • Strong financial analysis and healthcare market data interpretation skills
  • Complex contracting and negotiation experience
