CNC Field Service Engineer

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Service Engineer with experience troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems on CNC mills and lathes. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment at customer sites , requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: * Perform preventative maintenance and machine calibration to minimize downtime. * Provide technical support, training, and recommendations to customers. * Diagnose and repair CNC machine issues efficiently. * Document service activities, including repairs and inspections. * Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols. Qualifications: * Experience with Siemens, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, or HAAS NGC control systems. * Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals . * Skilled in machine alignment, calibration, and diagnostics . * Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Chicago area (90%) , with occasional overnight stays (10%).
