Conversion salary would be 90-110k, can only go higher if you have a P.E.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A utilities client in Houston, Texas is looking for a Civil Structural Engineer to join their Substation team in support of resiliency initiatives. The main responsibility of the Engineer will be to provide technical support associated with the design, analysis, construction, and operations of substation assets. They will engineer and review physical electrical design drawings, plan and profiles, grounding, conduit, foundation, and vendor drawings as necessary to support the design and construction of substation facilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction
-Minimum of 2-3 years utility industry experience OR relevant engineering experience
-Knowledge of work order creation
-Knowledge of materials selection and orders
-Experience with site visits and collaborating with construction & operations departments
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience with GIS and MicroStation or equivalent systems
-Experience with Schweitzer or SEL relays
