Medical Receptionist

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Medical Receptionist or a highly regarded patient-centered dermatology and cosmetic medical practice known for its collaborative team culture and commitment to exceptional patient care. This is a full-time onsite temp-to-hire opportunity located in Los Angeles, California near the Miracle Mile area.


POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients while supporting the daily administrative operations of a busy and fast-paced medical office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming patient experience while balancing scheduling, insurance verification, and front office coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment where patient care and professionalism are top priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while delivering exceptional customer service
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient calendars and records
• Verify insurance coverage, collect copays, and support front office billing processes
• Answer and manage multi-line phone systems professionally and efficiently
• Update patient demographics and maintain organized electronic documentation
• Scan, upload, and organize patient files and medical documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience supporting a medical front office or healthcare administrative environment
• Experience with insurance verification and patient copay collection
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting
• Professional communication skills with a patient-first mindset
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
