Math Teacher, St. Patrick Catholic School, Malvern, PA, Chester County A Part-Time middle school math teacher will plan, implement, and deliver high-quality math instruction. This role requires an academically rigorous classroom environment that nurtures the spiritual and intellectual growth of each student. Duties include teaching one honors math class to 5th grade and teaching 6th and 7th grade math to on-level students. The classroom size will be small in order to support individualized instruction. Some students in grades 6 and 7 will have learning plans and supports in place. The position is 19 hours per week (3–4 hours each day, five days a week). Key Responsibilities: Faith Integration: Model Gospel-centered behavior. Curriculum and Assessment: Develop and utilize a variety of instructional strategies, adapt materials to varying learning needs, and use assessment data to adjust teaching methods. Experience with benchmark testing and Universal Design for Learning is preferred. Student Support: Provide targeted small-group instruction, intervention, and extensions to ensure every student reaches their full mathematical potential. Classroom Management: Establish a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment that balances structure with student rapport. Collaboration and Communication: Regularly communicate with parents/guardians and colleagues regarding student progress. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and religious events such as school liturgies and prayer services.
