CRNA Position at Riverside Regional Medical Center

Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their team. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and an opportunity to work in a leading healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

The CRNA is responsible for:

• Pre-anesthetic evaluation.
• Preparing an appropriate health history, conducting an appropriate physical exam, requesting pertinent diagnostic studies, selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administering pre-anesthetics medications.
• Obtaining informed consent for anesthesia, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence.
• Performing preoperative and intra-operative care.
• Obtaining, preparing, and using all equipment, monitors, supplies, and drugs used for the administration of anesthesia, performing, and ordering safety checks as needed.
• Selecting, obtaining, or administering the anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, and blood products necessary to manage the anesthetics.
• Performing all aspects of airway management, inserting peripheral venous catheters, and managing Bier Blocks.
• Providing appropriate non-invasive monitoring modalities utilizing current standards and techniques.
• Evaluating patient response during emergence from anesthesia and instituting pharmacological or supportive treatment to ensure patient stability during transfer.
• Providing post anesthesia follow up evaluation of the patient's response to anesthesia and surgical experience.
• Initiating and administering respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the post-anesthesia period.
• Initiating and administering pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system during the post-anesthetics.

Requirements

The CRNA must:

• Have graduated from an accredited program in nurse anesthesia education.
• Be certified or recertified by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Be licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of Virginia.
• Have at least one full year (12 months) of experience as a CRNA.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.

Role Overview

The role includes:

• Target start date: ASAP
• Lodging/housing stipend: $107/daily
• Car Rental/Mileage Stipend: $250/weekly
• Site Name: Regional Medical Center
• Duration of Assignment: 13 weeks
• Estimated Privileging Timeframe: 90 days
• Hours information: 10-12 hours, Monday-Friday
• Required Call: Weekend call In house
• CRNA to MD ratio: 3:1
• Case Mix: Level 2 trauma center; OB experience is a plus.
• Completion bonus: YES - ($10k completion bonus after 520 hours)
