Senior Property Accountant
A growing real estate organization in Atlanta seeks a Senior Property Accountant to manage financials across 20+ properties. Oversee property accounting, financial reporting, CAM reconciliations, budgets, journal entries, and lease compliance. Full-time, hybrid schedule (2-3 days in North Atlanta Buckhead). Atlanta, GA. Support accurate property financial management, analyze variances, and improve operational performance. Collaborative hybrid work environment with opportunities for growth and skill development. Salary: commensurate with experience.
The Senior Property Accountant manages financial accounting for multiple properties, including reporting, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting functions for a portfolio of 20+ properties.
- Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for multiple properties.
- Perform CAM reconciliations and manage monthly accruals.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with lease interpretation for reporting compliance.
- Analyze variances between actuals and budgets, providing actionable insights.
- Assist with preparation and monitoring of annual property budgets.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-cycle property accounting experience, preferably handling 10+ properties.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager strongly preferred.
- Proficient in accrual accounting, journal entries, variance analysis, and budgeting.
- Commercial property experience and CAM reconciliation experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
