Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and establish complete case documentation from initial consultations through to the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through structured assessments and diagnostic tools.
\n
• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for diverse client populations, including individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches and therapeutic techniques to promote healing and resilience.
\n
• Monitor client progress through regular assessments and adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring appropriateness and effectiveness of interventions.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive care strategies for clients.
\n
• Provide follow-up care for clients transitioning from inpatient services to outpatient therapy, ensuring coordinated care after hospitalization.
\n
• Identify and work to mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, equipping clients and families with coping strategies and resources.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers with guidance to manage mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts is required.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, with demonstrated skills in conducting assessments and delivering interventions.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR or similar software.
\n
• Understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health issues as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as identified by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• A strong understanding of pharmacological treatments and their mental health implications.
\n
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective interaction with clients and team members.
\n
• Empathetic and thorough interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to client advocacy.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization or focused training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or specific therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or EMDR.

• Experience providing online therapy or virtual counseling, adapting traditional techniques to a digital platform.
\n
• Active involvement in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.

Compensation and Benefits\n
