Staff Accountant

Job Description Job Description NextStep Recruiting has partnered with an incredible organization to identify a Staff Accountant in Weatherford, TX. This contract-to-hire position is 100% onsite and will work closely with the Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working as part of a small, collaborative team and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently while serving as a key accounting resource across the organization. Required: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Manufacturing Industry experience is required * 2+ years of accounting experience including month-end close, journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting * Hands-on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience * Previous accounting experience within a manufacturing environment * Strong Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs/lookup functions, pivot tables, and reporting * Experience working within a large ERP system and the ability to operate effectively in a manual, detail-intensive accounting environment Preferred: * Epicor or Visual ERP experience, particularly experience supporting an ERP transition or implementation * Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting * Experience partnering with Sales, Production, or Operations teams to research information and support reporting needs If you're looking for an opportunity to broaden your accounting experience, work directly alongside a Controller, and become an integral part of a close-knit finance team within a growing manufacturing organization, we'd love to connect.
