Make a difference as an Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher supporting a dynamic instructional environment in a contract position beginning as soon as possible through late June 2027. This opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about dropout recovery, transitional support, and engaging high school students. With a caseload focused on those requiring creative and individualized interventions, you'll help each learner progress academically and develop essential life skills.
What we’re looking for:
- Current Special Education licensure/certification
- Experience or strong interest in dropout recovery and transitional high school programs
- Solid understanding of IEPs and their implementation
- Effective classroom management skills within a diverse population
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, related service providers, and families
- Skill in adapting curriculum materials to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals
- Developing, monitoring, and evaluating IEPs in collaboration with the education team
- Tracking student progress and maintaining necessary documentation
- Facilitating transitions for at-risk youth towards graduation, employment, or continued education
- Participating in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
- Adapting teaching approaches and strategies to maximize student engagement
