Material Handler - Hilo 

Location: Belmont   Shift: 1st shift   Pay: $18 per hour  

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Hi-Lo and OHC, moving jobs to the appropriate departments, and assisting production operators with part cleaning, labeling, plate searches, and product measurements. The role requires attention to safety, the ability to read a tape measure and job paperwork, and the ability to work well with others.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operate Hi-Lo equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate OHC in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Locate jobs and move them to the needed departments.
  • Assist the burner/Plasma operator with cleaning and labeling parts.
  • Search for plate for upcoming jobs.
  • Measure product to match the paperwork, including length (L), height (H), and width (W).

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid Hi-Lo certificate.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Full use of limbs, as specified in the role requirements.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Skills and Knowledge
  • Safe and efficient operation of Hi-Lo and OHC equipment.
  • Ability to locate and move jobs to the appropriate departments.
  • Ability to assist with cleaning and labeling parts and locating plate for upcoming jobs.
  • Ability to measure product and compare dimensions with job paperwork.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Full use of limbs, as specified in the role requirements.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and review job paperwork.
