Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS required Must-Have: Epic charting experience required IV therapy skills required Familiarity with emergency care for adults and pediatrics required Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Room, providing care to adult patients. Shift hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM. The contract length is 13 weeks. Experience with Epic charting is necessary. Weekend availability is required every other weekend. The RN will be expected to work every other holiday if needed. Must be available to float within skill set as necessary. The Emergency Room cares for all types of emergency diagnoses. Ratios in the ER are 1:5 for adults and geriatrics. The RN will utilize various types of equipment in providing patient care. Responsibilities include IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, triage, and emergency care. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and teamwork skills, as they will work closely with other healthcare professionals. Additional skills include managing patients with stroke, trauma, and cardiac issues. The selected RN must demonstrate proficiency in the management of dysrhythmias and other critical conditions. A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care is essential.
