Senior BI Developer - AWS Analytics

Salary: $130,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on BI development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong practical skills in SQL and dimensional or semantic data modeling.
• Experience developing enterprise dashboards and analytical applications across multiple BI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with at least one self-service analytics platform designed for business users, such as Qlik Sense/QlikView, ThoughtSpot, Strategy ONE/MicroStrategy, Sigma, Sisense, or a comparable tool.
• Experience with one or more traditional enterprise BI tools, such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience implementing security, governance, data validation, and performance optimization for BI solutions.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms and large enterprise datasets.
• Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders.
• Preferred: Hands-on Amazon QuickSight experience; experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, Athena, S3, or RDS; experience with Databricks and lakehouse architectures; experience in AWS GovCloud, federal, regulated-industry, or other regulated environments; experience with Informatica or other enterprise ETL and data-integration platforms; or experience designing analytics for nontechnical business users.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical applications.
• Create self-service analytics solutions that help nontechnical business users explore data with minimal technical training.
• Develop BI solutions using platforms such as Amazon QuickSight, Qlik Sense/QlikView, ThoughtSpot, Strategy ONE/MicroStrategy, Sigma, Sisense, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Design semantic and dimensional models, star schemas, measures, KPIs, and reusable analytical datasets.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
• Connect BI solutions to cloud and enterprise data platforms, including AWS, Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, relational databases, and data lakes or lakehouses.
• Implement row-level security, role-based access, governed datasets, data-quality controls, and consistent KPI definitions.
• Improve the performance and scalability of dashboards, semantic models, queries, and datasets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to turn requirements into intuitive visualizations and self-service analytics experiences.
• Support CI/CD, source control, testing, documentation, deployment, and production troubleshooting for BI solutions.
• Work closely with data engineering, architecture, governance, and platform teams.
