Fragmented data ingestion applications and complex production pipelines demand scalable, high-performance architecture to ensure reliable analytical outputs. This role addresses these challenges by developing advanced ETL processes, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and evaluating emerging AI tools to continuously improve warehouse workflows.What Success Looks Like (Objectives):Design ETL processes, data ingestion mechanisms, and streaming applications utilizing cloud services, SQL, Python, Snowflake, and AWS RedshiftIntegrate data extracts, loads, and reports seamlessly with business intelligence and analytical applicationsMaintain core data pipelines while evaluating and resolving critical production issues to ensure minimal downtimeCollaborate closely with analysts and engineers by leveraging modern orchestration and ETL tools like Airflow and DatabricksOptimize complex SQL queries to maximize system performance and manage the underlying cloud infrastructure effectivelyExplore and evaluate new technologies with AI tools to continuously improve upon existing Data Warehouse processesSkills, Experience and RequirementsCore Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative fieldStrong skills in designing, optimizing, and modernizing data architectures within an Enterprise Data Management EnvironmentCompetency in building scalable ETL processes, data ingestion systems, and streaming applications via AWS, Snowflake, and RedshiftAdvanced proficiency in SQL optimization, Python automation, and Linux/Unix shell scripting for robust data pipeline maintenanceAI Literacy and AI Application skills to proactively evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools into existing warehouse workflowsCritical thinking and collaborative problem-solving abilities to resolve complex IT issues and deliver sound data insights across cross-functional teamsAdditional Qualifications:Experience working within Agile teams to deliver rapid, high-quality data solutionsPossession of a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative fieldMinimum Requirements:Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related fieldMinimum Experience: 3 years of experience in data warehouse related teamsRequired Technical Skills: Must have at least 1 year of experience with:SQLAirflow or Control-M orchestration toolsRDBMS and modern Data Warehousing conceptsVisa sponsorship not available for this role Salary RangesCompensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year BenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: EchoStar Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
